The planed Seminar on “Quality of democracy in Latin America” aims at bringing together scholars in order to discuss theoretical as well as empirical challenges in the study of Latin American democratic quality. Contributions should relate to the exposed questions in single case or comparative studies or should address theoretical or methodological challenges regarding the study of quality of democracy in Latin America. The proposals should register in three items:

a) Democratic theory,
b) Methodology about quality of democracy,
c) Empirical research of democracies.
